STAGGIA SENESE: L’atteso match tra Barberino Val d’Elsa e Lebowski finisce 1-1 al termine di una gara concitata e sfortunata. I grigioneri finiscono in nove uomini e devono salutare Milanesi, vittima di un infortunio grave che, con ogni probabilità, lo costringerà a finire anzitempo la stagione.
Ci si gioca tanto oggi, forse tutto: il Barberino deve fare punti per non essere risucchiato nella zona retrocessione; mentre i grigioneri devono fare bottino pieno per rimanere agganciati al treno dei playoff.
I tifosi rispondono “presente” e invadono Staggia con un pullman e svariate macchine perché, oggi, non conta altro se non i tre punti.
L’importanza della sfida si respira sin dai primi minuti: le squadre si studiano e giocano con accortezza per non lasciare spazi invitanti agli avversari. Le prime iniziative offensive sono appannaggio dei padroni di casa, che tentano di affondare il colpo grazie a Chiostrini, capocannoniere della categoria e costante spina nel fianco della difesa ospite, ma il numero 9, oggi, è poco lucido sotto porta e lo dimostra già al 10’ quando conclude male da dentro l’area, mandando il pallone sul fondo.
Piano piano il Lebowski inizia a prendere campo. Al 21’ Montuschi accende la luce e si procura una golosa punizione dal limite, ma il suo tentativo impatta sulla barriera. Sul capovolgimento di fronte, il Barberino si guadagna un fallo; Livi butta il pallone in mezzo e, dopo un rimpallo, il pallone finisce tra i piedi di Chiostrini che, però, spreca ancora da due passi. Trascorrono pochi minuti e Ferravante spizza di testa smarcando Milanesi, ma Pertici blocca in due tempi. Gli ospiti continuano a premere e, prima, Guerri toglie dalla testa di Milanesi un cross pennellato da Formigli, poi, Bonciani si vede annullare un gol per una posizione di fuorigioco alquanto dubbia. Si va a riposo sullo 0-0.
Il Barberino, anche nel secondo tempo, continua a essere in balia della manovra grigionera. Al 52’, Montuschi viene atterrato al limite, ma il suo cross su punizione non viene raccolto da Milanesi per un soffio. Il vantaggio è nell’aria e bisogna aspettare solo altri tre minuti per vederlo realizzato: un buon cross dalla destra trova la testa di Ferravante e la palla si deposita in fondo alla rete.
Sugli spalti si inizia, cautamente, a sentire il profumo della vittoria, anche perché i padroni di casa fanno poco per ribaltare il risultato e i loro tentativi sono tutti racchiusi in una improbabile girata al volo di Chiostrini e in una punizione di Maravigli ben respinta da Tarchi. L’arbitro, colto da manie di protagonismo, al 75’ decide di mandare sotto la doccia in anticipo Bonciani, reo, a suo dire, di aver allontanato il pallone: seconda ammonizione e Lebowski in dieci uomini.
I quindici minuti finali diventano eterni. I grigioneri tentano di gestire il vantaggio, ma solo cinque minuti dopo devono capitolare: la respinta di Tarchi arriva a Silei che batte a rete indisturbato.
Come se non bastasse, all’85’, L.Pini è costretto a compiere un fallo per fermare una pericolosa azione di contropiede. Secondo giallo anche per lui e gli ospiti si ritrovano in nove.
Invece di abbattersi, gli uomini di Serrau continuano a provarci, ma l’arbitro ormai ha completamente perso il controllo sulla partita e, a un minuto dalla fine del tempo regolamentare, non fischia un rigore netto su Milanesi, sgambettato in area dopo una bella serpentina. Serrau protesta furiosamente e viene allontanato dal campo. Gli animi si scaldano e la partita diventa una battaglia senza esclusione di colpi. Spiga “vede rosso” e, nei minuti di recupero, sradica un pallone e si invola sulla fascia ringhiando; mette in mezzo un pallone invitante ma Milanesi colpisce male e si scontra col portiere in uscita. Le lacrime di dolore del numero 7 grigionero risuonano in tutto lo stadio. L’arbitro, mentre il fisioterapista presta i primi soccorsi e in panchina si chiama l’ambulanza, ordina al giocatore a terra di smettere di lamentarsi e lo esorta ad abbandonare velocemente il terreno di gioco: è la goccia che fa traboccare il vaso. La panchina grigionera, davanti a queste infelici parole, inizia ad inveire contro il direttore di gara il quale, per non farsi mancare nulla, decide di espellere anche il fisioterapista. Milanesi viene, quindi, letteralmente trascinato fuori dal campo e, pochi istanti dopo la ripresa del gioco, ecco il triplice fischio.
A fine partita, non si può far altro che tributare un lungo applauso ai pochi giocatori rimasti in campo perché, comunque, il Lebowski di oggi non si è risparmiato e ha dovuto lottare, in inferiorità numerica, contro gli avversari, le opinabili decisioni arbitrali e la sorte avversa.
La trasferta a Staggia lascia l’amaro in bocca sia per l’infortunio di Milanesi (rimettiti presto, campione!) sia per un arbitraggio che ha palesemente condizionato la partita. Il punto ottenuto oggi va stretto ma, in giornate così storte, ci si accontenta.
Adesso non resta che pensare alla difficile gara contro il Luco. Serrau dovrà contare i pochi uomini rimasti a disposizione per domenica prossima e sarà costretto ad inventarsi qualche soluzione per un attacco decimato e privo di alcuni elementi fondamentali. In questi frangenti non si può far altro che compattarsi, lottare con le unghie e con i denti e vedere cosa succederà.

The expected match of Barberino Val d’Elsa vs. Lebowski finishes 1-1 at the end of an excited and unlucky game. Greyblacks complete the game in 9 and they have to say goodbye to Milanesi, victim of a serious injury, who, in all likelihood, will end prematurely the season.

Both teams give a lot today, maybe everything: Barberino need points to not be suck down in the relegation zone; while greyblacks have to get the full loot to keep holding the playoff train. The supporters invade Staggia with a bus and many cars because, today, nothing matters but the three points.

We can breathe the relevance of the competition since the early minutes: the two teams study each other and play with shrewdness to not leave tempting free spaces to the opponents.  The first offensive moves are made by the home team, that try to sink the blow thanks to Chiostrini, top-goalscorer of the rank and permanent thorn in the flesh for the hosts’ defence, but the number 9, today, is not alert in front of the goal and he demonstrates it already at 10’ when he closes bad from inside the box, sending the ball in the end zone.

Slowly Lebowski start taking on. At 21’ Montuschi turns on a light and get a greedy free kick at the edge of the box, but his trial crashes into the wall. With the overturning of the front, Barberino earns a foul, Livi send the ball in the middle and, after a bounce, the ball ends between Chiostrini’s feet who, yet, wastes it again from super close the door. Few minutes pass and Ferravante deflects the ball with his head unmarking Milanesi, but Pertici stops it in two phases. Hosts keep pushing and, earlier, Guerri takes off from Milanesi’s head Formigli’s perfect cross, then, Bonciani sees his goal cancelled because of a doubtful offside position. We go to rest at 0-0.

Barberino, during the second half too, is still at the mercy of greyblack manoeuvre. At 52’ Montuschi is grounded at the edge, but Milanesi doesn’t reach his free kick’s cross by a nose. The lead is in the air and we have to wait only other three minutes to see it: a great cross from right finds Ferravante’s head and the ball lays down in the net.

On the terraces we start, carefully, tasting a smell of victory, also because the home team don’t do a lot to reverse the result and all their efforts are Chiostrini’s absurd scissor kick and Meravigli’s free kick punched well by Tarchi. The referee, caught by grandstanding, decides at 75’ to send Bonciani to the showers, guilty, he said, of distancing the ball: second booking and Lebowski is left in 10.

The last 15 minutes are everlasting. Greyblacks try to handle the lead, but only five minutes later they have to yield: Silei comes on Tarchi’s punch and kicks it in the net undisturbed. As it wasn’t enough, at 85’, L.Pini is moved to foul to stop a dangerous counterattack move. Also for him is the second yellow card and the hosts are left in 9.

Instead of giving up, Serrau’s men keep trying, but the referee has totally lost the control on the game by now and, one minute before the end of the regular time, doesn’t whistles a clear penalty on Milanesi, who is tripped in the box after a great zigzagging. Serrau protests furiously and is removed from the field. Things get heated and the football match becomes a no-holds-barred battle. Spiga sees red and, during the additional minutes, uproot a ball and flies growling on the flank; throws in the middle a great ball but Milanesi hits bad and crushes into the coming out keeper. The pain tears of the greyblack number 7 resound in the whole stadium. The referee, while the physiotherapist is giving the first aids and in the bench are calling the ambulance, commands to the player laying on the ground to stop complaining and incites him to leave fast the playing field: this is the last straw. The greyblack bench, after those harsh words, starts blaming the referee, who, to top it off, decides to expel also the physiotherapist. Therefore Milanesi is, literally, dragged out the field and, few instants after the game restart, there is the triple whistle.

At the end of the game, we can only bestow a long-lasting applause to the few players that are still in the field because, anyway, the Lebowski of today didn’t save energy and had to fight, outnumbered, against opponents, the debatable referee’s decision and doom.

The away game in Staggia left us with bad taste in our mouths both for Milanesi’s injury (recover fast, champion!!) and for a refereeing that has clearly conditioned the game. The point we get today clasps but, in such bad days, we settle for it.

Now we can only think about the hard game against Luco. Serrau will have to count the few men remained available for next Sunday and he will be moved to create some solution for a wiped out attack and lacking of some basic elements. In those moments we can only unite, fight with fangs and claws and see what will happen.
