Che fosse una partita dura si era capito fin dall’inizio, con due occasioni nei minuti iniziali che procurano discreti brividi. È un bel primo tempo comunque, e a pochi minuti dalla fine il Lebowski passa in vantaggio sul rigore ribattuto in rete da Cubillos. Ma non c’è neanche il tempo di finire di esultare che i rossoverdi trovano subito il pareggio e l’arbitro fischia la fine. Proprio le decisioni arbitrali la fanno da padrone nel secondo tempo, in avvio è subito rigore per il Monterotondo, 2-1. Subito dopo viene concesso un altro rigore su cui stendiamo un velo pietoso, e che ci costa l’espulsione del portiere. Entra Mirri e para. Nel finale ci proviamo anche in dieci, e un atterramento in area su Calbi ci fa gridare al rigore, ma niente. Finisce 2-1 su un campo difficile, avanti Lebowski!

From the very beginning, it’s clear that this is going to a tough one: two early chances for the locals make sure to put us on edge straight away. But it’s a good first half, and a few minutes before half-time, Lebowski goes one-up thanks to a penalty by Cubillos. But we have hardly any time to celebrate: the red-and-greens equalize immediately, and there’s no more time before the interval. In the second half, the referee becomes the real protagonist of the match: he immediately awards Monterotondo a penalty, and it’s 2-1 for the locals. Straight after, it’s another penalty for Monterotondo, a decision we’d prefer not to comment on. Our goalkeeper is sent off, Mirri is brought on, and saves the penalty shot. In the final minutes of the game, we try pushing even though we’re one man down. We scream for a penalty as Calbi is taken off his feet in the box, but to no avail. It ends 2-1 against a tough opponent. So be it, head to the next match, and forza Lebowski!
