Continua il rendimento straordinario del Lebowski tra le mura di casa, dove a parte la sconfitta con il Galluzzo e il pareggio con il Montalcino abbiamo sempre vinto. Stavolta a farci visita è una delle squadre finora migliori del campionato, il Certaldo, che però nell’intera partita, nonostante un’ottima organizzazione tattica e una grande grinta, non riuscirà ad avere nemmeno una chiara occasione da rete. I grigioneri dominano il campo, pressano alti, rubano palla, spingono costantemente. Nel primo tempo l’arbitro non vede un fallo di mano che sembrava piuttosto chiaro in area di rigore. Allo scadere il loro portiere toglie dall’incrocio dei pali un gran tiro di Calbi e il primo tempo si chiude sullo 0-0. Ma a inizio ripresa inizia il vero spettacolo: Calbi gira in rete da posizione defilata un bellissimo assist di Cubillos che gli arrivava alle spalle, con un diagonale di una difficoltà estrema, e la curva Pozzi esplode. Intorno a metà della frazione un altro miracolo del portiere su una deviazione ravvicinata di testa tiene aperta la partita, ma a pochissimi minuti dalla fine Diego Cubillos ci regala un gol di quelli che siamo abituati a vedere soltanto alla televisione. Aspettate gli highlights e vedrete. Finisce 2-0 in una grandinata di applausi. E mercoledì ci sono i quarti di finale di Coppa. Ma che bello è…

At the end of the first half, Certaldo’s keeper only just reaches an excellent shot into the corner of the net by Calbi, and the teams return to the locker rooms with a score of 0-0. But the real show begins at the start of the second half: Calbi turns an angled assist by Cubillos towards the goal, with an extremely difficult diagonal trajectory – and scores! The curva Pozzi explodes with joy. Around the middle of the second half, another miraculous save by the visitors’ keeper against a close-up head-shot keeps them in the game; but just a few minutes before the end, Diego Cubillos scores a goal of a standard we are used to seeing only on TV.
