Un Lebowski impavido perde 2-1 col Luco al termine di una gara intensa ma condizionata da decisioni arbitrali discutibili.

O gloria o morte. Oggi al Galluzzo si giocava una partita fondamentale per entrambe le compagini: il Luco era chiamato a blindare il suo secondo posto in classifica e a difendere il suo margine di vantaggio sulle concorrenti per evitare i playoff; il Lebowski, invece, doveva tentare di rosicchiare punti a una diretta concorrente per rimanere agganciato al gruppo di testa e far sentire il “fiato sul collo” alle prime.
Le squalifiche e gli infortuni patiti nella scorsa sciagurata partita hanno costretto Serrau a schierare un attacco inedito e a convocare alcuni elementi della squadra juniores. Non certo la situazione migliore per affrontare una delle squadre più forti del girone.
Invece, quello che scende in campo è un Lebowski che parte subito aggressivo e senza alcun timore reverenziale. I padroni di casa controllano il gioco, mentre il Luco si concentra più sul recupero della palla per ripartire in contropiede.
All’ottavo minuto, Ferravante fa sponda per l’accorrente  Maio , ma la conclusione di quest’ultimo viene deviata in angolo. Dagli sviluppi del tiro dalla bandierina, Spiga (oggi avanzato in attacco) manovra un bel pallone fra tre avversari, scarica sulla fascia, ma il cross indirizzato sulla testa di Improta viene intercettato all’ultimo dalla difesa ospite. Passano pochi minuti e ancora Maio si incunea bene in area scartando due difensori, ma si trascina il pallone sul fondo proprio al momento di servire un assist in mezzo all’area per i compagni di squadra appostati davanti alla porta. Passano i minuti e il pressing del Luco inizia a farsi più asfissiante e i difensori grigioneri non trovano spazi per costruire la manovra e sbagliano spesso il fraseggio, regalando ghiotte occasioni. Infatti, Formigli, al 17’, perde un brutto pallone e Lukolic ha così la possibilità di mettere in mezzo un cross per Santilli, che segna. L’arbitro però annulla la rete per un evidente fuorigioco.
Il Lebowski continua ad avere difficoltà nell’impostazione del gioco e, quando prova ad uscire palla al piede, sbaglia, offrendo agli avversari delle pericolose ripartenze. E’ proprio da un pallone perso a centrocampo che avviene il primo gol ospite: recupero di Graziani che apre rapidamente sulla fascia per Gherardi, palla bassa in mezzo per Santilli e gol. Un contropiede fulmineo da manuale del calcio e 1-0. Il vantaggio, per qualche minuto, intacca l’autostima dei grigioneri che ci provano, ma, ogni volta che si presentano dalle parti di Alivernini, non riescono a concludere a rete.

Il secondo tempo regala subito emozioni: al 47’, il fraseggio nello stretto del Luco manda al tiro Lukolic da buona posizione, ma Tarchi si distende e para. Il Lebowski esce più convinto dagli spogliatoi e, al 49’, un tiro di Maio viene intercettato di mano da un difensore, probabilmente, dentro l’area di rigore, ma l’arbitro decide di concedere solo una punizione dal limite. Passano pochi minuti e finalmente arriva il pareggio grigionero grazie al tiro di Ferravante che “piega i guantoni” ad Alivernini. Il gol dà nuova linfa al Lebowski e la squadra comincia a credere ai tre punti.  Ferravante potrebbe anche raddoppiare al 65’, quando si avventa su una maldestra respinta del portiere e deposita in rete. Però l’arbitro decide di rovinare la festa sugli spalti annullando il possibile vantaggio per una posizione di fuorigioco alquanto fantasiosa. Dagli spalti si ricorda all’arbitro il lavoro che fa sua moglie e lui non la prende bene. Infatti, pochi minuti dopo, fischia un generoso rigore per il Luco per un fallo di Formigli. Gherardi va dal dischetto e non sbaglia. Il fischietto, non contento, continua a voler essere al centro dell’attenzione e fischia punizioni solo agli ospiti. A bordo campo si sentono urla di esasperazione per questa direzione di gara così mediocre. L’arbitro, quindi, decide di allontanare dal campo pure il presidente grigionero reo di essersi lamentato per la seconda direzione di gara indegna in una settimana. Gli animi del Lebowski esplodono definitivamente quando, per un fallo palesemente avvenuto dentro l’area di rigore del Luco, viene fischiata solo una punizione dal limite.
I fragorosi fischi del pubblico coprono il suono del triplice fischio finale.

Nessun rimpianto ma solo tanta frustrazione per una partita ben giocata ma condizionata da alcune decisioni arbitrali assai discutibili. Preferiremmo perdere per demeriti nostri che per cause non dipendenti da noi. Oggi avremmo potuto strappare non solo il pareggio, ma addirittura la vittoria e avremmo potuto portarci a ridosso delle zone alte. Invece, ci tocca mandare giù questo boccone amaro e prepararci per la prossima sfida di campionato, sperando che là davanti facciano qualche passo falso.

Testa alta e crediamoci comunque.
E, come direbbe il Presidente: “NON SO COME, MA AI PLAYOFF NOI CI ANDIAMO!”

A fearless Lebowski lose by 2-0 versus Luco at the end of an intense game, but influenced by arguable referee’s decisions.

Glory or death. Today at Galluzzo was played an essential game for both teams: Luco needed to lock down its second place and to defend its margin with its rivals to avoid playoffs; Lebowski, instead, needed to try to nibble points from a direct rival to keep holding the lead pack and to make the firsts feel breathing down their necks.

The bans and the injuries suffered last unlucky game made Serrau to line up an unrealised attack and to call up some juniors players. Not the best conditions to face one of the strongest team of the round. But, the one that take the field is a Lebowski that immediately starts aggressive and without any awe. The home team control the game, while Luco focus more on recovering the ball and counterattack. At 8’, Ferravante lends support for the coming Maio, but his conclusion is deflected to a corner. From the development of the corner kick, Spiga (today moved forward in the attack) drives a great ball between three opponents, unload on the flank, but the cross directed on Improta’s head is intercepted at the end by the opponent’s defence. Few minutes pass and Maio slots great in the box jinking two defenders, but carries the ball till the end exactly at the moment to serve an assist in the middle of the box for the mates stationing in front of the goal.

Minutes pass and Luco’s pressing starts to become suffocating and greyblack defenders don’t find spaces to build the manoeuvre and miss often the phrasing, donating prime opportunities to the opponents. Indeed, Formigli, at 17’, loses a bad ball and so Lukolic has the chance to cross to Santilli, who scores. The referee undoes it because of a clear offside. Lebowski keep having difficulties to set up the game and, when try to move forward with the ball, miss, giving to the opponents chances for dangerous restarts. And is from a lost ball in the midfield that comes the first opponent’s goal: Graziani collects the ball who opens fast to the flank for Gherardi, low ball to Santilli and goal. A football’s textbook quick counter and 1-0. For few minutes the goal damages greyblacks’ self-esteem that try, but, anytime they show on Alivernini’s side, they can not score. The second half donates immediately emotions: at 47’, Luco’s strict phrasing send Lukolic to shot from a good place, but Tarchi stretches out and saves it. Lebowski comes out from the locker rooms more convinced and, at 49’, Maio kicks but his shot is intercepted by a defender’s hand, probably inside the box, but the referee decides to give only a free kick.

Few minutes pass and finally comes the equalizer thanks to Ferravante’s shot that “bend Alivernini’s gloves”. The goal gives new air to Lebowski and the team start believing in the three points. Ferravante could also double at 65’, when he attacks the clunky punch of the keeper and put it in the net. But the referee decided to spoil the party on the terraces undoing the goal because of a rather creative offside position. From the terraces we remind him the work of his wife and he doesn’t take it well. Indeed, few minutes after, he whistles a generous penalty for Luco because of Formigli’s foul. Gherardi comes up the spot and doesn’t miss. The referee, not content, continues wanting to be the centre of attention and whistles free kicks only for the away team. From the courtside we hear exasperation shouts for a so lousy game direction. The referee, therefore, decides to send away also greyblacks’ president guilty of complaining for the second ignoble direction in a week. Lebowski’s souls definitely blast when, for a clear foul in Luco’s box, is whistled only a free kick. Supporters’ thunderous whistles cover the sound of the ending triple whistle.

No regrets, but only a lot of frustration for a well played game conditioned by referee’s very arguable decisions. We would prefer to lose because of our faults instead of causes don’t related with us. Today we could tear off not only a draw, but even the victory and we could get close to the high part of the ranking. Instead, we have to swallow this bitter pill and get ready for the next challenge, hoping that there up they will make some mistakes.

Head up and believe it anyway.

And, as the President would say: “I DON’T KNOW HOW, BUT WE WILL GO TO PLAYOFFS!”
