Prima delle due partite del gironcino a 3 di Coppa per i grigioneri, sul campo del Dicomano già sconfitto per 3-0 dal Luco nel primo match disputato. Come prevedibile, un ampio turnover scelto da mister Castorina ci permette di vedere all’opera molti ragazzi ancora non impiegati nelle prime due di campionato. Ed è questo il lato più positivo di tutta la partita: la rosa sembra essere davvero all’altezza. Parte infatti fortissimo il Lebowski, che dopo 15’ è già in vantaggio con Improta che incorna un morbido cross di Landolfi. Altri 5 minuti ed è Improta a trasformarsi in uomo assist per la girata al volo di Ferravante, 2-0 e prima della fine del primo tempo da segnalare solo una traversa dei padroni di casa. Anche nella ripresa l’inizio è travolgente: al 6’ Colley lancia nella prateria Vargas, velocissimo prima nel seminare i difensori, e freddo poi nel concludere all’angolino. All’11’ è di nuovo cross di Improta e gol di Ferravante, per il 4-0 che ci permetterebbe di passare il turno anche pareggiando contro Luco. E qui arriva l’unica pagina negativa della serata: la squadra forse si rilassa un po’, mentre il Dicomano tira fuori l’orgoglio e inizia a spingere forte, riuscendo a realizzare due reti nella seconda metà del tempo. Finisce 4-2, il 2 ottobre contro Luco bisognerà vincere, ma ci penseremo poi. Adesso testa al derby di campionato col Galluzzo.

It’s the first match for Lebowski in our three-team group in the Cup: the Grigioneri are away at Dicomano, where the home team hope to recuperate their 3-nil loss against Luco in the first match of the group. Manager Castorina’s wide turnover gives space to many players who we have not yet seen play in League matches. And this is the best thing to come out of this match, as it shows that the entirety of the roster is definitely up to scratch. Lebowski starts off strong: after 15 minutes we’re already 1 up, as Improta heads in a delicate cross by Landolfi. Five minutes later it’s Improta’s turn to serve the assist to Ferravante who turns on his feet and nets the ball on the first touch. Before the end of the first half, the home team manages a shot on goal, but the ball bounces off the bar. 2-0 for Lebowski. The start of the second half is equally dominated by the Grigioneri: after six minutes, a pass by Colley launches Vargas who runs past the defence and coolly shoots the ball into the low corner of the net: 3-0. And five minutes later, a cross by Improta is once more picked up by Ferravante who nets Lebowski’s fourth goal. The only negatives of the evening are from here on, as the Grigioneri relax perhaps a bit too much, while Dicomano find their pride and start pushing, managing two goals in the latter part of the second half. The game ends 4-2 for Lebowski. We’ll have to win against Luco on October 2nd, but we’ll think about that when the time comes: for now, it’s all about Sunday’s League derby against Galluzzo.
