Il più classico dei derby spigolosi al campo del Galluzzo. Poco spazio al bel gioco, tanta intensità e tanto agonismo, e tutte le emozioni che, per nostra fortuna, si concentrano nei minuti finali. Nel primo tempo si nota un Galluzzo molto ben messo in campo, che non concede un centimetro alle nostre manovre. Le emozioni sarebbero ridotte a zero, se non fosse per un nostro brutto errore sulla nostra trequarti di campo, che permette ad Antongiovanni di rubare palla e calciare subito, cogliendo Mirri fuori dai pali e portando in vantaggio i gialloblu, oggi di bianco vestiti. L’impresa si fa davvero difficile, perché il solo risultato disponibile per i grigioneri è la vittoria. Nel secondo tempo la musica non cambia molto, la partita rimane molto ostica, la pressione del Lebowski aumenta ma non si concretizza in occasioni limpide. Ma a dieci minuti dalla fine Ferravante in torsione colpisce di testa un lancio dalla trequarti, ne nasce un perfido pallonetto che scavalca Marcucci. 1-1, si può tentare l’assalto finale. Ma in realtà il Galluzzo riesce a tenerci lontani dalla propria area di rigore, e quando siamo già nei minuti di recupero Mirri vola a togliere un calcio di punizione da sotto l’incrocio. Solo che quando c’è in campo il Drugo, la partita non è mai davvero finita. Ultima azione, la palla viene sospinta in area, Ferravante lotta e prova a girarsi, l’arbitro fischia il calcio di rigore. Paolo Capparelli, imperturbabile, realizza. La Curva impazzisce, la partita è finita, possiamo abbracciare la squadra attraverso la rete e pensare al prossimo turno di Coppa.

A classic rough derby at the Galluzzo grounds. The beautiful game is hardly beautiful today, as pride of place goes instead to athletic intensity and ruthless competition. The match’s more exciting moments are relegated to the final moments, as Lady Luck smiles upon the black-and-grey. During the first half, Galluzzo are well positioned across the field of play, fighting over every inch and stifling our attacking manoeuvres. The level of excitement would have been near zero, had it not been for an ugly mistake by the Lebowski boys near our frontline, who let Antongiovanni steal the ball and shoot right into the net while Mirri is far from the goal. One up for the yellow-and-blues (who are wearing white today). The game has now become an uphill struggle, as the black-and-grey need a win to advance to the next stage of the Cup. The second half isn’t much different from the first: the game continues to be tough, Lebowski builds up pressure but has few chances to score. Ten minutes from the final whistle, however, Ferravante heads a free-kick into a perfidious lob that climbs over Marcucci. One all, on to the final assault. Galluzzo however are good at keeping Lebowski away from their box, and in extra-time even force Mirri to fly to the far post to keep an insidious free-kick from going in. But when it comes to the Dude, it’s not over ‘til it’s over: final seconds, the ball gets somehow pushed into the Galluzzo box, Ferravante struggles on it and tries to turn, the referee blows his whistle and points to the penalty spot. Paolo Capparelli, with unflappable cool, scores. The Curva goes mad. The game is over, and through the separation net we can embrace the team and turn our minds to the next stage of the Cup.
