Finalmente torniamo a passare il turno in Coppa! Nell’atmosfera magica delle partite casalinghe in notturna, il Lebowski si porta in vantaggio dopo pochi minuti con un gran diagonale di Ortega dopo un cross di Cubillos che attraversa tutta l’area. Ospiti in difficoltà nel primo tempo, ma non riusciamo ad aumentare il vantaggio. Nel secondo tempo il Luco cambia marcia e spinge di più, ma lascia anche più spazio per il contropiede. Grossa occasione per loro sventata da Bargagli coi piedi, poco dopo Nencioni lanciato nella prateria manda di poco a lato sull’uscita del portiere. Poi, a circa 20 minuti dalla fine, Ferravante incorna un bel cross su punizione di Fornai e chiude la partita. Gli ospiti ci provano con orgoglio ma non c’è più nulla da fare, si festeggia sotto la Curva Pozzi, il cammino in Coppa continua!

Finally, after many years, we are through to the next stage of the Cup! Only a few minutes into the game, and Lebowski already capitalizes on the magical atmosphere of the evening match at our home stadium: Ortega picks up Cubillos’s cross and nets the ball with a brilliant diagonal shot that traverses the entire box. The visitors struggle throughout the first half, but Lebowski fails to score again before the interval. In the second half, Luco switch gears and tries to push, but leaves us ample space for counterattacks. Bargagli uses his feet to save a clear chance for the visitors, and a few minutes later Nencioni, cutting through the field, narrowly misses his shot as the keeper lurches forward to meet him. About 20 minutes before time, Ferravante heads in a beautiful cross by Fornai. 2-0, that’s that. In the final minutes, the visitors show their pride and attack, but there’s nothing they can do. Lebowski celebrates with the Curva Pozzi. Our Cup campaign goes on!
