Addio ai sogni playoff. La stagione del Lebowski si chiude male e i grigioneri escono sconfitti 4-1 contro l’Affrico.

Era obbligatorio vincere e incrociare le dita, sperando che la Rontese facesse un brutto scherzo all’Olimpia Palazzuolo. E i tifosi grigioneri decidono di non lasciarsi influenzare dalla matematica e riempiono la tribuna nell’attesa di un miracolo. Siamo fin troppo abituati a vedere, nelle ultime giornate dei campionati professionistici, squadre senza più niente da chiedere alla classifica che giocano senza motivazioni e regalano punti agli avversari. Invece, l’Affrico non appare proprio una squadra scesa in campo per fare una semplice sgambata domenicale.

I primi minuti, però, fanno ben presagire e, al 7’, Improta  regala un gol da cineteca non adatto ai deboli di cuore: sombrero su un avversario e tiro da fuori che si infila all’incrocio dei pali. Il vantaggio illude e sugli spalti, timidamente, si inizia a tendere l’orecchio verso il campo del Palazzuolo, sperando che arrivino buone notizie. Ma passano pochi minuti e l’Affrico pareggia grazie a L. Virgili che infila in rete direttamente da calcio d’angolo. Gli allori sui quali il Lebowski si era adagiato dopo il vantaggio si sgretolano improvvisamente e adesso c’è da rifare tutto da capo. L’occasione per rimettere le cose a posto capita sui piedi di Maio, che approfitta caparbiamente di una dormita difensiva e si ritrova a tu per tu con il portiere, ma conclude male e vanifica tutto. Il calcio sa essere spietato e, pochi giri di orologio dopo questa nitida occasione,  arriva il vantaggio dei padroni di casa con un contropiede ben eseguito e finalizzato da Isiksun.

E’ un pomeriggio soleggiato, ma calano ugualmente le nubi sui grigioneri: la squadra inizia a giocare nervosamente e da Palazzuolo arriva la sconfortante notizia del vantaggio dei padroni di casa. La partita inizia quindi a regalare solo una sequela di azioni confusionarie che non portano pericoli alla porta avversaria. Ci prova solo Ferravante che, a suon di spallate, riesce a smarcarsi per il tiro, ma Virgili vola e devia in angolo. L’Affrico, dal canto suo,  gioca con lucidità e con la tranquillità di chi non ha niente da perdere, rendendosi pericoloso in più di un’occasione.

Basta guardare le facce dei giocatori che si dirigono verso gli spogliatoi per capire lo stato d’animo della squadra. Quello che doveva essere un pomeriggio dal profumo di impresa, in quarantacinque minuti si è trasformato in un incubo. Sul secondo tempo sarebbe meglio stendere un velo pietoso perché il  Lebowski si smarrisce definitivamente e l’Affrico passeggia sulle macerie di una squadra distrutta moralmente e trafigge per altre due volte Tarchi.

Si guarda insistentemente l’orologio e si contano i minuti che mancano alla fine e il triplice fischio finale è un sollievo per giocatori e tifosi.

Troppi punti persi per strada. Questa può essere la sintesi della stagione grigionera. Contro l’Affrico si doveva vincere ma, di certo, non è stata questa la partita decisiva per le sorti del campionato.
Questo tipo di gare fanno storia a sé perché si giocano con uno stato nervoso ed emotivo particolare e basta un episodio per passare, in un istante, dal paradiso all’inferno. E così è stato. Dopo il gol del pareggio avversario, infatti, le menti dei giocatori si sono progressivamente annebbiate fino a raggiungere il black-out definitivo.

A fine gara, non resta che emozionarsi e rendere omaggio a Coppini, alla sua ultima partita in grigionero dopo tanti anni di grinta, entusiasmo e dedizione totale alla causa. Grazie di tutto e speriamo che tu abbia insegnato ai più  giovani come si ringhia per novanta minuti.

Goodbye playoff’s dream. Lebowski season ends bad and greyblacks come out defeated by 4-1 against Affrico. We had to win and cross our fingers, hoping that Rontese play a dirty trick to Olimpia Palazzuolo. Greyblack supporters decide to not be influenced by math and fill the terraces waiting for the miracle. We are all too familiar to see, in the last games of professional championships, teams with nothing more to ask to the ranking that play without reasons and giving away points to the opponents. Instead, Affrico don’t seem a team that took the field only for a Sunday long walk. But the early minutes bode well and, at 7’, Improta donates a fabulous goal not for the faint-hearted: sombrero above an opponent and long shot that slips into top corner. The advantage misleads and on the terraces, shyly, we start keeping an ear on Palazzuolo’s field, hoping in good news. Only few minutes pass and Affrico equalize thanks to L. Virgili who scores straight from the corner. The laurels on which Lebowski was resting suddenly crumble and now we have to start again. The opportunity to fix it was on Maio’s feet, who stubbornly exploits of a defence nap and finds himself face to face with the goalkeeper, but ends bad and vanishes everything. Football can be cruel and, few clock rounds after this clear occasion, the home team take the lead after a great counter finalized by Isiksun. It’s a sunny afternoon, but dark clouds rise above greyblacks: the team start playing nervously and from Palazzuolo comes the disheartening news of the home team taking the lead. The game start giving only a series of messy moves and no risks for the opponent goal. Only Ferravante tries and, shouldering, and frees himself for the shot but Virgili flies and deflects it in to a corner. Affrico, for its part, play with lucidity and serenity of who has nothing to lose, making itself dangerous more than once. Look at players’ faces, while they go to the changing room, is enough to understand team’s mood. The one that should be a challenge-flavoured afternoon, in forty-five minutes became a nightmare. About the second half it would be better to draw a veil over it, because Lebowski definitively lose itself and Affrico walk on the ruins of a morally destroyed team and pierce Tarchi two times more. We insistently look at the watch and we count the minutes till the end and the triple whistle is a relief for players and supporters. Too many points lost on the way. This can be the abstract of greyblack season. We had to win against Affrico but, for sure, this wasen’t the crucial game for the championship. This kind of game have their own story because are played in a particular nervous and emotional state and an episode is enough to fell, in a moment, from heaven to hell. And so it was. After opponents’ equalizer, indeed, players’ minds increasingly fog up until the final black out. At the end of the game, we can only be moved and pay tribute to Coppini, to his last greyblack game after a lot of years of grit, passion and total devotion to the cause. Thanks for everything and let’s hope that you taught the younger how to roar for ninety minutes.
